The candidate will be responsible for investigating and processing household goods claims in a timely manner. Recovery of contractual subrogation monies from carriers if applicable to insurance contracts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review each claim and decide actions necessary to investigate and process the claim in an accurate and timely
- Utilize the service of preferred repair firm service providers for the assessment of
- Work with moving companies to obtain inventories and documents, and to trace for missing
- Settle the claim by working directly with the
- Recover monies from the moving companies for claims that have a subrogation
- Work with daily reports to keep track of and manage claims that are currently in
- Document each action that takes place on a claim in a database that allows client contacts to monitor the progress of the
- Assist with the work of absent colleagues, as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years in a claims or customer service position
- Excellent verbal, written and problem-solving skills are a must
- Strong attention to details
- Manage high work volume, at times
- Ability to organize for efficiency and be able to multitask
- Ability to make quick decisions
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Good negotiating skills
- PC experience required, including data entry, Word and Excel
- Obtain adjuster’s license in those states requiring licensing
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
