The candidate will be responsible for investigating and processing household goods claims in a timely manner. Recovery of contractual subrogation monies from carriers if applicable to insurance contracts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review each claim and decide actions necessary to investigate and process the claim in an accurate and timely
• Utilize the service of preferred repair firm service providers for the assessment of
• Work with moving companies to obtain inventories and documents, and to trace for missing
• Settle the claim by working directly with the
• Recover monies from the moving companies for claims that have a subrogation
• Work with daily reports to keep track of and manage claims that are currently in
• Document each action that takes place on a claim in a database that allows client contacts to monitor the progress of the
• Assist with the work of absent colleagues, as needed

 REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years in a claims or customer service position
• Excellent verbal, written and problem-solving skills are a must
• Strong attention to details
• Manage high work volume, at times
• Ability to organize for efficiency and be able to multitask
• Ability to make quick decisions
• Ability to exercise sound judgment
• Good negotiating skills
• PC experience required, including data entry, Word and Excel
• Obtain adjuster’s license in those states requiring licensing
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
